Networking Opportunities and Information Sharing
Members of MBIPC have exclusive access to timely communications, vital information, and opportunities to engage and network with each other.
MBIPC facilitates Member Mixers. These are events for members to enjoy a relaxing evening with old friends and new colleagues.
There are brief opening comments and updates; otherwise, it is up to our members how much business they want to talk about!
Sponsorships for these events are available, with Event Sponsors having the options to speak to the crowd and provide marketing materials.
MBIPC members are also encouraged to attend the annual Executive Gathering in Lansing and special events wrapped around the Brain Injury Association of Michigan’s Annual Fall Conference
Networking Opportunities
MBIPC’s Executive Director and Legislative Coordinator keep members informed about emerging trends, critical legislative developments, new initiatives and strategic planning for MBIPC, activities with coalitions and collaborative partners, and opportunities to engage in advocacy and group efforts. These updates occur through emails, and/or social media posts.
Timely Updates
MBIPC members have exclusive access to a Newsletter that conveniently and concisely puts together important information and opportunities for engagement. The Newsletter may have a special message from the Executive Director, but each edition includes the following:
OPPORTUNITIES FOR ENGAGEMENT: We enhance our power, influence, and advance the field when we work together and engage in opportunities to share information, discuss strategy and advocate.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES: Our mission is to enhance the ability of our members to provide high quality, ethical rehabilitation, health care, and related services to people with a brain injury through resource sharing, information exchange, professional development, and education.
CAPITOL, COURTS, AND CAUSES: Our mission is to enhance the ability of our members to provide high quality, ethical rehabilitation, health care, and related services to people with a brain injury through promotion of beneficial legislation and advocacy for brain injury services.
Membership Newsletters
MBIPC leadership encourages input from its members. This occurs through direct communication, attendance at open Board of Directors meetings or through periodic surveys and opportunities to share perspectives, experiences, and needs.
Members may also participate in our Service Group Collectives. These virtual meetings, held quarterly and facilitated by MBIPC’s Executive Director, provides an opportunity for MBIPC members to get together with colleagues providing similar services to discuss recent trends, challenges, resources, and potential opportunities for systems change and advocacy.
