Information and Resource Sharing: MBIPC Slack Workspace

MBIPC hosts an information and resource sharing platform through Slack. This platform provides MBIPC members with an exclusive opportunity to share information, ask questions of peers, share evidence-based and best practices, share experiences and communication with funders and state agencies and receive timely updates from the Executive Director.

There are “channels” in Slack that can focus groups on specific topics. The structure of MBIPC’s workspace includes the following channels, which all participants have access to:

  • General Channel – to provide general updates and discussion

  • Legislative Updates – give real time updates on legislative issues and call to action (Slack has a mobile app which will be valuable when urgent issues need to be shared)

  • Clinical Excellence - for providers to share best practices and resources to enhance quality services

  • Business Operations – for providers to have dialogue on business operations such as policies, procedures, and interaction with funders and state administration

  • Specific channels for member sub-sections that provide specific services:

    • Residential/supported living

    • Outpatient

    • Community based and vocational services

    • Case managers

    • Home healthcare

    • Transportation

    • Pharmacy and DME

    • Construction/home and vehicle modifications

    • Attorneys and guardianship providers
